Action and sensuality, here is Mugler's second SS21 chapter!

Instagram posts, newspaper articles, various interviews … everyone is talking about it! What am I referring to? to the new show, or maybe I should say to Mugler‘s new short film. Just in these days the French maison has debuted with the second chapter of the spring summer 2021 collection, surpassing all imaginable expectations and revolutionizing the very idea of fashion show to which we are now used to. Six and a half minutes of video lead the way to what appears to be the perfect trailer for an action movie with futuristic features.

Space and time are completely lost in a dark setting, in the Matrix style, which from the designer’s final greetings ends backstage through models that plow the catwalks backwards, juggling acrobatics and sudden leaps. As if someone had activated the slow motion and time-lapse modes; what you feel is to be in front of a narrative flashback.

Between innovative materials and suspended constructions, fashion and technology meet in a new dimension, in which beauty breaks the mold and raises the bar considerably. Nothing unorthodox, nothing too vulgar, just a woman with her anatomical curves and erogenous zones. Forget, therefore, chic femininity, because Casey Cadwallader explores true sensuality, the one that knows how to show itself bold, bold and fatal. And it does it: with invisible nylon bodysuits, dresses divided by architectural lines (as if a spider’s web were walking on the female body), nude effect sheath dresses studded with crystals, draped dresses in sky blue and cherry red, jacket-shirts split in two with shoulders bold and fitted waist and cutout blazer with tulle panels at the navel.

Sensuality is not only in the dress, but also in the wearer. And in this the maison did not miss anything. Alongside supermodels of the caliber of Bella Hadid and Irina Shayk, appear various artistic characters such as the actress of Pose, Dominique Jackson, and the protagonist of Euphoria, Hunter Schafer.
