Peter Do never needed a fashion show, a traditional method and a canonical showcase to get noticed. His essential and avant-garde design was enough to achieve notoriety, yet it seems like a breath of fresh air to finally see him on the catwalk.
Perhaps it is that the Fashion Week is the definitive step to declare a “successful” brand, the so-called initiation ceremony between a niche brand and a consolidated presence in the Fashion System, but to see the Vietnamese-American designer and his very small team formed by 14 people making its way among the giants of international fashion has an emotional aftertaste that only the purest authenticity can evoke, and that lately is not for everyone in fashion.

That research and that healthy design that sees each garment take shape on a mannequin and a scribbled canvas prototype is that return to the idea of couture and tailoring, albeit made casual, which releases passion, safety and harmony through a team work that is as much talent as commitment.
In just (about) 3 years Peter Do has conquered all the biggest luxury retailers and high-end e-shopping web platforms, he has dressed celebrities like Zendaya, Anya Taylor Joy, Celine Dion and Beyoncè, he has brought all the world to recognize him, yet his path seems to be only at the beginning of a glittering career.

“A physical show is our reaction to a digital overload we’ve all experienced since the start of the pandemic. We’ve arrived at a time where we crave physical touch and intimate experiences. I don’t think every collection needs a show, but it proves to be a successful format when it’s done right. Every season we are one step closer to fully fleshing out the Peter Do world, and with our own bags (handmade in Italy) debuting for spring 2022, the universe feels more complete. To show for the first time finally feels “right” at this moment.” -Adds the designer.
