The K factor is making itself felt in many areas, from cosmetics to fashion. In fact, Seoul Fashion Week is becoming increasingly loved and followed, thanks to the new talents it offers every season. For this reason, we have selected three Korean unisex brands for you that will enrich your wardrobe!
D-ANTIDOTE
D-ANTIDOTE is an emerging brand founded in Seoul in 2014 by the designer Park Hwan Sung, with the aim of targeting modern fashion as a solution to detoxify itself from the current market. The gender-fluid style of D-ANTIDOTE is loved by K-pop stars and international fashion personalities, and boasts major retailers around the world such as Selfridges, Lane Crawford, Galeries Lafayettes and many others. The sportswear brand is the result of the meeting of two cultures and the mix of trends of two cities, Seoul, the birthplace of the designer and London, the one in which he graduated. In a nutshell, Park defines its brand “Free from the boundaries of gender and age“.
99%IS-
99%IS- is a real punk rock rebellion that comes directly from Seoul, born thanks to the ingenious of Bajowoo with the aim of expressing its original point of view on fashion. Chock full of streetwear contaminations, 99% IS- features heavily reworked graphic t-shirts, face masks, outerwear and much more. The attitude of his brand is felt with each garment through ink screen prints, zips and clips that alter the silhouette of the garments.
KUSIKOHC
Founded by the photographer Cho Gi-Seok, KUSIKOHC offers cutting-edge garments without sacrificing tailoring. The brand proposes some of the more elaborated lookbooks available on the market, with the clothes as protagonists, fully expressing the designer’s vision. KUSIKOHC divides each collection into three categories: Showpiece, Prêt-à-porter and Jewelry. The first presents bespoke pieces, similar to pieces of art, the RTW line shows the basic points of production, purchases of jackets, bright turtlenecks, trousers and accessories. Within his jewelry line, he continues his distinctive approach with oversized and design pieces.
