I met Licia a few years ago, and I was immediately struck by her personality: kind, sunny, but above all a great creative mind.
Licia Florio, a fashion designer known by many in the past for the L’F shoe brand, now has a different brand (Licia Florio) that produces yoga clothing and a wonderful line of nail polishes.
I am pleased to share with you a beautiful chat recently, real and sincere just like her!

“Hi Licia, thank you very much for accepting our invitation! Would you like to tell us your story and your path?”
“I wanted to do something of my own, where I could tell and put myself in the first person. I wanted to be responsible for the choices and risks, but also for the freedom it allows me to have. After the academy I did some internships and I immediately understood that was not my path. From then on I launched my own brand. “
“How did you go from the L’F shoes brand to Licia Florio?”
“The Licia Florio brand was born before L’F. Shoes were a secondary project which, however, occupied me 100% for years. Licia Florio returned to the center, as soon as I decided that I wanted to change my approach and that what I was doing that no longer represented me. You should never be afraid to change.”

“Today we can define you as an entrepreneur, designer, and influencer: is that correct?”
“I think that labels and job titles have a limited range of vision. Entrepreneur is a word I like, it sounds so much about adventure, unfortunately it has, at least in Italy, a negative sense of careerist, perhaps due to bad examples that we have. time to re-evaluate it and give it a new light, don’t you think? ”
“On Instagram you won us over for your approach to life, your philosophy and your lifestyle! Would you like to tell us about it?”
“I try to do what I like and what makes me feel good. Over the years, I have tried to build a space that does not give me limits, but opportunities. I like to feel good and make the people around me feel good.”

“You often organize live yoga practices, how long ago did you start practicing it? Why would you recommend starting to practice it?”
“Sport is something that roots me and gives me balance, be it Yoga, Pilates, Kundalini or just go for a run. We have started a series of lessons live on Zoom with my favorite teachers that I hope to be able to transform into a fixed appointment for all the years to come. ”
“What kind of woman are Licia Florio suits designed for?”
“Suits are an informal uniform that helps you feel in harmony with your body thanks to the fit and colors. They are designed for sports or for walking around.”

“All your products are made in Italy and above all sustainable. How difficult is it to maintain these standards?”
“We produce everything a few kilometers from Milan. The choice is twofold: it gives us control and ensures that the product is of the quality we want. Everything is done with the highest respect for the environment. We are not 100% perfect, but we are there. trying. We are always looking for a higher standard.”
“The nail polish palette is always wonderful, how are colors selected? And why did you choose nail polish as a beauty product?”
“My inspiration comes from nature: plants, landscapes, the sea, sounds. Each color tells a mood, together they create stories. Putting the nail polish is a meditative process: dedicate yourself 5 minutes where, waiting for the nail polish to dry, reflect and take a breath.”

“Do you have any future projects you can tell us about?”
“New colors and new models and an online lesson project that I mentioned earlier.”
“What were the most satisfying successes you have achieved?”
“See the people who wear the brand, give some happiness.”

“What would you recommend to a young designer?”
“Always be curious, empathic and attentive to others.”
Thanks Licia!
