The Nike “Waffle Racer” model has recently been rediscovered and brought back to life by collaborations such as with CDG and Off-White. However, in this case, the retro classic is instead building a new silhouette called “Waffle Racer Crater”. Taking design cues from the Space Hippie collection previously revealed by Nike, this new model inherits the same recycled materials to compose its structure, offering a moon-inspired aesthetic. Otherwise it remains very basic with an off-white upper with gray and red suede accents on the swoosh and on the tab in the back.
Another step by Nike in the right direction towards a more sustainable future.
NIKE WAFFLE RACER CRATER will be released during 2021, but still no precise date.
