Part of Stone Island’s DNA has always been research and experimentation on innovative, unusual materials and related treatments, washes, finishes, colors.
And, if as a rule, technical fabrics bring with them a futuristic and technologically aseptic air, in this case, Stone Island, as already in the past (but here in an even more evident way) has managed to combine hyper-technological fabrics with treatments capable of give an ultra-lived aspect. A sort of Mad Max style clothing.
In this case, anorak, for example, is made by coupling two fabrics: the Membrana and the Oxford 3l.
These are two three-layer performance fabrics, one in light opaque nylon and one, more sustained, in oxford nylon. They are both laminated on a breathable, anti-water and anti-wind membrane, protected by an impalpable polyester layer.
The DUST COLOR treatment deposits a patina of pigments on the finished garment for a three-dimensional effect and a unique and unrepeatable appearance from end to end. A special agent added to the process gives the garment anti-drop characteristics.
The seams are taped to ensure total impermeability to water and wind.
Available in select stores and on the official Stone Island website.
