Aries and Suicoke launch their first collaboration for high summer 2019. The collaboration sees Aries take on the Suicoke Depa-Cabsandal model in two colour ways: khaki with a gold chain print and black with glow in the dark fluorescent green columns. The graphics are classic Aries designs and take inspiration from ancient Rome. The sandal has a Vibram sole renowned for its comfort, lightness and grip.
The collaboration is available to buy from 12th July. Stockists include: Matches, Goodhood, END, Blues Store for the UK; Silva Descalzo, ITK, Magasins Galeries Lafayette, Slam Jam, D2, Deliberti in Europe; B Store, DSM Singapore,Selectiv, Robinsons, B Store, Commonwealth, Hypebeast in Asia; PAM, Incu Apartment, Lessons, Subtype, Harrods in Oceania; they will also be available online from Aries’ official website. Sandals cost 150 euros.
“I thought the sandal lent itself perfectly to our classic Roman graphic patterns. The way the graphics are applied to the straps and wrap the foot gives this tromope l’oil effect of a chained sandal which fits perfectly with Aries’ flirtation with ancient symbols of civilization”, said Sofia Prantera, Creative Director of Aries. “We are happy to be working with our trusted friends Aries and Slam Jam. We respect the aesthetic and history of Aries particularly the graphics. We are proud to be able to incorporate these onto one of our iconic sandals, Depa-Cab”, told Jin, Creative Director of Suicoke.
The collaboration combines originality and comfort, in a new design and everything to be discovered.
