Every season, Kenzo unveils a stunningly vibrant collection and its latest presentation is no exception.
As part of the mission of creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, Kenzo aims to celebrate a diverse array of tribes and subcultures. For the Spring/Summer 2019 collection shown at Paris Fashion Week Men’s, Kenzo presents a collection inspired by summer ceremonies, bringing to the forefront various interpretations of joyful rituals of the season. Whether they bring to mind moments of summer romance or beachside weddings, the latest collection is an eclectic blend of elegance and flamboyance.
Showcased alongside a men’s collection, the womenswear pays homage to high summer with plenty of new pieces that toast to self-confidence and a distinct sense of savoir faire. From deconstructed pieces to asymmetrical silhouettes, Lim and Leon play with the delicate contrast that results from placing garish cuts alongside fabrics that are dripping with refined taste. A saturation of colors inform the palette made up of acid yellow, cobalt, fuchsia and more, as well as eye-catching prints with roses and checks. A selection of flowing frocks, crocheted suits and rain-inspired outerwear rounds off the range.
