Love and freedom. On these two inalienable rights, instincts, emotions, held the female plot conceived by Francesca Liberatore for her spring – summer 2017 collection presented in September during New York Fashion Week.
This collection allows to override the technicalities and contradictions that emerge because every dress was conceived, created, sewing for every type of woman that reflects the joie de vivre thought by Liberatore. If fact in previous collections the Roman designer had used the public of the Big Apple with collections yes conceptual but far more introspective, almost nihilistic. In this there is instead a very strong dose of positivity. So much so, that to emphasize these aspects there are colors like red, green, optical white, fuchsia, and – to add a touch of sensuality – black. A party enriched by Swarovski crystals and a silhouette inspired by the ’50s, but always consistent with the contemporary aesthetics of the designers.
“As a woman and a human being I chose to celebrate these things in these times and I hope that you will join me. My last name is Liberatore and I believe in freedom. I was inspired by the balloons that fly freely in the sky and the angels who accompany women higher and higher”, said the Italian creative that has seen some of her creations housed in museums such as the Permanente in Milan and the Edieuropa Gallery in Rome.
The opening of Francesca Liberatore to the positive aspect of life, not only in terms of ability but also as motion, movement, led her to make a complete collection, to dress in the morning until the evening. That time, the latter, in which every woman is transformed and, as in a picture of the surrealist masters, it breaks down and reassembles before then, going up carefully into the sun greeting icaro, too ambitious, while his fall.
