The presentation of the Maison Margiela<\/a> spring summer 2022 collection<\/strong> took place in Paris<\/strong> a few days ago!<\/p>\n

Placing the models in a post-apocalyptic context<\/strong>, the French director Olivier Dahan<\/strong> has created a film whose protagonists are the garments designed by the creative director of the maison, John Galliano<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Abandoned objects<\/strong>, cold nature<\/strong> and mist<\/strong> are the backdrop for a truly extravagant show.<\/p>\n

The main shades, in line with the background, are blue navy<\/strong>, black<\/strong> and dark green<\/strong> combined, however, with bright colors<\/strong> such as yellow, red and electric blue. Some pieces also revolve around shades of white and beig<\/strong>e.<\/p>\n

The collection takes up the maritime style<\/strong> obviously revisited by Galliano which mixes different fabrics<\/strong> such as lace, denim, wool and velvet.\u00a0The coats worn by the models are covered with tulle<\/strong> in bright colors such as electric blue and red, the same goes for classic-style trousers and skirts.<\/p>\n

The collection also consists of denim garments<\/strong> such as vests and shorts accompanied by thigh-high lacquered rubber boots<\/strong> that vaguely resemble fisherman’s boots.<\/p>\n

Maison Margiela<\/strong> offers a collection clearly inspired by the codes of the nautical world<\/strong> combined with unexpected details such as lace accessories<\/strong>, with pearls<\/strong>, studs<\/strong> and anthropomorphic embroideries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
