The Belgian designer Glenn Martens, founder of the Y \/ Project brand and former collaborator of Jean-Paul Gaultier, takes the lead in the artistic communication of the DIESEL brands.<\/span><\/h2>\n

With Y \/ Project<\/strong> in Paris, Martens<\/a> had already demonstrated that he had both the vision and the creative leadership necessary to take an existing reality and reinvent it completely. The new Diesel<\/a><\/strong> mantra is aimed at reiterating how much denim is a culturally relevant fabric, declined in garments that can be purchased less frequently, but worn longer, all filtered by an a-gender reading of the wardrobe and the enhancement of heritage.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first real collection of the Belgian designer debuts with a visionary fashion film that reveals the 4 souls of the new DIESEL world.<\/span><\/h2>\n

The short, made in collaboration with the artist and director Frank Lebon<\/strong>, and whose soundtrack was composed by the English musician Leon Vynehall<\/strong>, highlights 4 sections of the brand’s new world seen through Martens’ creative<\/a> prism. The film blurs the lines between reality and dream. The main character moves within a familiar, albeit slightly distorted, environment. An urban street that recalls the normal, and often frenetic, city life. Then, an elevator ride, which captures a sort of tailor-made shot from which both the tradition of the brand and the aesthetics of Martens<\/a> are evident. The film ends in a space and psychedelic room, with a dark red filter.<\/span><\/p>\n

Logoed belts that intertwine t-shirts, tops and dresses. Crossing cuts in the garments, a structure that binds each element in new sinuous shapes. The 5-pocket denims with integrated boots also stand out: these models are high or medium-waisted, and offer different denim washes that end in cowboy boots<\/strong> or pointed ankle boots. The heritage chapter, often upcycled, contains Diesel<\/a> denim from regenerated stock, including an overcoat with handcrafted, shaded and grazing latex details. Additional pieces of reclaimed jersey are cut and sewn and dyed to create new sweaters and bomber jackets.<\/span><\/p>\n

\/\/ Diesel Library \/\/ was also introduced with spring summer 22 \/\/<\/span><\/h2>\n

a part of sustainable garments, such as denim, shirts, tops, skirts, shirts, and more. “Diesel library<\/strong> will be a fundamental baseline for every seasonal collection, and will remain in every season. It reflects the company’s new sustainability-oriented mantra, providing garments that could be bought less frequently, and worn longer. A selection of key look will be available in preview starting from September 2021<\/strong> in a series of selected stores and on the brand’s e-commerce.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

“The great task and the reward in Diesel<\/a> is to create garments that have a certain universality and at the same time maintain the irreverent spirit of the brand,” said Martens. “I think many from the outside might say that my work is more related to the concept; in Diesel<\/strong> I tried to merge, in a certain way, accessibility with art”.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
