After a year here we are, and we can say that the promise made has been kept.<\/p>\n<p>Recall that the main objective of the two companies was to accelerate the development of solutions to reduce the <strong>700 million tons of carbon dioxide<\/strong> emitted every year by the footwear industries. So it was.<\/p>\n<p>On the one hand <a href=\"https:\/\/www.waitfashion.com\/en\/search\/adidas\/?s=adidas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Adidas<\/strong><\/a>, with its great experience in the construction of footwear, on the other <strong>Allbirds<\/strong>, a company known for the use of sustainable materials. Two &#8216;rival&#8217; companies that work together for good, an almost perfect combination to complete the long-awaited project: a pair of r<strong>unning shoes<\/strong> that are more <strong>sustainable<\/strong> than ever.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-110151\" src=\"https:\/\/www.waitfashion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Adidas_Allbirds_Shoes_3.png\" alt=\"Adidas e Allbirds 2\" width=\"1200\" height=\"676\" data-id=\"110151\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-110152\" src=\"https:\/\/www.waitfashion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Adidas_Allbirds_Shoe.png\" alt=\"Adidas per Allbirds 3\" width=\"1200\" height=\"676\" data-id=\"110152\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The footwear, called <strong>Futurecraft Footprint<\/strong>, has a carbon footprint, a polluting footprint, of less than <strong>3 kilograms of CO2<\/strong> per pair. All this was achieved thanks to the use of a sugar cane-based foam for the sole, together with a recycled polyester and Tencel (a material made from wool) for the upper part.<\/p>\n<p>This is <strong>Futurecraft Footprint<\/strong>: shoe with a <strong>minimal<\/strong> design but which hides <strong>dedication<\/strong>, <strong>attention<\/strong>, <strong>desire for change<\/strong>. The model will be available exclusively to <strong>Adidas Creators Club<\/strong> members via a 100-pair lottery in May, another 10,000 pairs will be released in <strong>Fall\/Winter 2021<\/strong> and a larger version will follow in <strong>Spring\/Summer 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This very important collaboration is proof that wanting is power. It is even better to have two competitors in the fashion sector who decide to <strong>share ideas<\/strong>, <strong>resources<\/strong>, with the hope of encouraging other brands to follow them. This is what makes this partnership an important example for the fashion world.
