Forget lace and embroidery, we are in 2021, and if this last year and a half we have accepted any kind of evolution in the pandemic Fashion System, we could only end the cycle with news from Haute Couture<\/b><\/a>.<\/span><\/h2>\n

The image of originality, timeless elegance and high fashion manufacturing is ready to reconsider and update itself, or at least this is what Windowsen<\/b> tells us, an emerging haute couture brand that breaks into the most elitist form of fashion with such a contemporary vision. Not even able to respect the current times, but rather projects Haute Couture in a sporty-tech<\/b> version, an indefinite alien<\/b> form that comes to teach us the rules of fashion from the future with what it finds in the closet of its spaceship landed by mistake in the dark 20s of the 21st century.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is with these assumptions and storytelling from post-apocalyptic videogames<\/b> and half zombie half gods characters that Windowsen presents its first collection “Barbie and the Chinese Zodiac<\/b>” defining its show as the first sporty-tech haute couture ever presented before.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sensen Lii, a Chinese-born and graduate of the Royal College of Arts in 2019, is the mastermind behind the surreal Windowsen project. Trapped in a world where his fantasies could not find a channel of expression, Sensen dedicated the rigorous closure in China of 2020 in search of a solution to mentally escape into his parallel world<\/b> and be able to transport it outside, finally giving life to Windowsen .<\/span><\/p>\n

The show opens with a slightly deranged Barbie<\/b> who invites viewers to enter her closet, only to discover that she has a myriad of otherworldly creatures under her control that give life to a modified Chinese zodiac<\/b>. The barbie then begins to illustrate her creatures, showing Sensen Lii’s garments worn by a fly, a praying mantis, a panda, a bear, a clown, a unicorn, a sphinx, a rabbit, a lion and finally a Chinese dragon.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

If we wanted to summarize the aesthetics of the extravagant collection, we could describe it as a riot of organza and genetically modified cyber-punk<\/b>, on the edge between robotics and the anatomy of the human body. Very high heels and 3D reliefs, models 3 meters high and elaborate makeup in order to change the features of the face.<\/span><\/p>\n

To use the words with which the designer talks about the first collection and what he has in mind for the future of Windowsen: \u201cIt’s like Black Mirror<\/b>. Each episode has its own story, but underneath there is a strong hidden force that connects them “.<\/span><\/p>\n
