{"id":133222,"date":"2021-04-22T11:39:33","date_gmt":"2021-04-22T09:39:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.waitfashion.com\/?p=133222"},"modified":"2021-04-22T11:39:33","modified_gmt":"2021-04-22T09:39:33","slug":"met-gala-2021-and-2022-two-different-events-to-celebrate-american-fashion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.waitfashion.com\/en\/met-gala-2021-and-2022-two-different-events-to-celebrate-american-fashion\/","title":{"rendered":"Met Gala 2021 and 2022: two different events to celebrate American fashion"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>The pandemic\u2019s breakout, at the beginning of 2020, caused a lot of restrictions and limitations, also in the fashion world.<\/h4>\n<p>All planned events were canceled, from fashion weeks to all the various celebrations; but I will talk about one of the most expected and followed red carpet, where different designers\u2019 creations compete to be the most talked about and photographed: the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metmuseum.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Met Gala<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020 on May the 3rd the event was missing, but the organization decided to announce <strong>two different galas<\/strong>, themed differently. The connection between them will be <strong>a new perspective and analysis about American fashion in contemporary times and the past<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-108478 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.waitfashion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/image-asset.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" data-id=\"108478\" \/><\/h3>\n<p>The first celebration and exhibition <strong>\u201cAmerica: a Lexicon of Fashion\u201d<\/strong> will be on Fashion week\u2019s last day, <strong>on September the 13th<\/strong>, and it will be about the established and young designers\u2019 creations. The decision was taken after the major crisis that hit the American fashion world, caused by the pandemic eruption and by eradicated stereotypes that praise more European fashion.<\/p>\n<p>The second exposition will take place <strong>on May the 3rd in 2022<\/strong>, and it will be about <strong>\u201cIn America: An Anthology of Fashion\u201d<\/strong>: how the American style has evolved from the beginning to analyze which were the influences.
