After a difficult year<\/b> like the one we have just passed, each of us knows how fundamental the stimuli<\/b> are to continue creating<\/b> and processing<\/b>. Those who work in the creative sectors<\/b>, then, have experienced it on their own skin. Not being able to go out<\/b>, relate to others<\/b>, live new<\/b> experiences<\/b> that give new emotions<\/b>, it was like closing yourself in a bubble<\/b>, made of the usual things<\/b>, with the usual routine<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Each of us has therefore taken refuge<\/b> in the great world of the Internet<\/b>, which offers<\/b> (despite everything, it is incredible) continuous visions of the “outside world”<\/b>, “as it once was”<\/b>. And it is probably also thanks to platforms such as Youtube<\/b> and Netflix<\/b> if we continued to dream<\/b> and hope<\/b> to come back to life with strength<\/b>: all that music<\/b>, those films<\/b> and those TV series accompanied us<\/b>, supported<\/b> us<\/b>, made us laugh and cry <\/b>in the worst<\/b> moments<\/b> of despair, in which we were alone, on our sofa, with yet another tub of ice cream or bag of chips.<\/p>\n

The British Fashion Council<\/b><\/a> has been able to make the most of the momentum of the Netflix series <\/b>and has started a collaboration with NetflixUk<\/b> which gives three of its students <\/b>the opportunity to design and reinterpret<\/b> the clothes of the TV series Bridgerton<\/b>. The team<\/b> of the three boys is made up of Aur\u00e9lie Fonta<\/b>n, Edward Mendoza <\/b>and Shanti Bell<\/b> and the most formidable thing is that they will be led by tutor and mentor Richard Quinn<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The collaboration between the BFC and Netflix<\/b> is \u200b\u200balready quite innovative<\/b> in itself, but it opens us to new interesting reflections on possible future scenarios in fashion<\/b>. We could say that this is ‘reinventing’ itself<\/b>, using an “old but new” method<\/b>. It is not an absolute novelty<\/b>, in fact, that high fashion manages to sneak onto the<\/b> big screen<\/b>: should we remember Armani with American Gigol\u00f2?<\/b> Or the classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s<\/b>, with Audrey Hepburn<\/b> so in love with Hubert De Givenchy<\/b> that she forced the director to use her clothes?<\/p>\n

But we could equally say that, in recent years<\/b>, all the mass TV series and popular cinema<\/b> had somewhat wiped out this beautiful habit of combining, in terms of fashion, luxurious clothes with thick films<\/b>.<\/p>\n

But above all, in this way the BFC tries to introduce tutoring as a method <\/b>that is not only valid, but fundamental<\/b> for fashion design students<\/b>, especially if the tutor is able to bring with him the years of experience<\/b> in the field, like the Londoner Richard Quinn.<\/b><\/p>\n

Although the official costumes were not designed by these young designers and are instead of the famous costume designer Ellen Mijornick<\/b>, the clothes were still a nice marketing and communication move<\/b>: the photos, taken by photographer Amber Pinkerton, were reposted by some stars of the series<\/b>, from the BFC profile <\/b>and also from Netflix Uk<\/b>, giving young talents a lot of visibility in both fields<\/b>, cinema and the fashion system<\/b>.<\/p>\n
