From the creative power of Los Angeles<\/b>, some of the best musical<\/b>, film<\/b> and fashion products<\/b> in the world are born. We do not think it is a coincidence that among these the designer-photographer-director<\/b> (and so on and so forth, because he is truly a creative genius) American Eli Russell Linnetz<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n A graduate<\/b> in screenwriting from the University of Southern California<\/b>, he developed a remarkable ability to sew<\/b> when, for economic reasons, he began to deal with the costumes of the university oper<\/b>a.<\/p>\n Until a few years ago we knew him for being one of the most influential photographers in the contemporary music scene<\/b>: when we look at Famous<\/b><\/a>, by Kanye West<\/b>, it’s interesting to know that much of the visual output <\/b>is due to the influence that Linnetz (at the time only 20 years old !) practiced on Kanye<\/b>.<\/p>\n Linnetz<\/b>, photographer<\/b>–designer<\/b>, is currently contributing to change the American pop aesthetic<\/b>, with a work that has continued from 2015<\/b> to the present day, and at the moment he is increasingly establishing himself as a fashion designer thanks to his own brand ERL <\/b>(acronym of his first name).<\/p>\n When Linnetz describes his love for photography<\/b>, he describes it like this:<\/p>\n “I am always only interested in people. I used photography as a way of social climbing, to meet people. Maybe there is an evil evil in my work that exists in every celebrity. So I think we were drawn together through this, and therefore the work is secondary.”<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n His photographic “style” is casual<\/b>, playful<\/b> and “random<\/b>“, even though he portrays some of the most famous characters on the planet. These fancy<\/b> traits are reflected in the aesthetics of his\u00a0clothing line<\/b>, which has been driving the web<\/b> crazy for a few months now.<\/p>\n The ERL brand<\/b> was born from the collaboration <\/b>of Linnetz with the famous e-commerce Dover Street Market LA<\/b><\/a>, following a request from the market for some of the designer’s drops. Then the collaboration led Linnetz to a friendship<\/b> with Adrian Joffe<\/b>, CEO<\/b> and creative director of Dover<\/b>, and from here arose the possibility to (finally) develop his vision through his own brand<\/b>.<\/p>\n Brand that embodies<\/b> in clothes all that youthful<\/b> and somewhat rebellious<\/b> scenario<\/b> of Venice Beach<\/b>, to which each of us would like to belong: bright<\/b> colors<\/b>, pop motifs<\/b> combined with the aesthetics of surfers<\/b>, skaters<\/b> and jaunty boys<\/b> who populate the coast.
