This year New Balance<\/strong> has focused heavily on collaborations, WATPS, Spray Rats and KITH<\/strong> were just a few of the partners.<\/p>\n

But now it’s up to Justin Saunders<\/strong>, better known as JJJJound<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It is not the first time that the two collaborate, in fact their partnership<\/strong> made its debut in 2018, with a 990v3 “Urban Gray”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

But let’s take a step back, who is JJJJound?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Justin Saunders<\/strong> is a Montreal-based Canadian creative, started his career in 2006<\/strong> at the age of 35, with the opening of the JJJJound site<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Initially it was born as the artist’s personal moodboard<\/strong>, where photos were posted without a common thread, but aesthetically<\/strong> in perfect harmony.<\/p>\n

His minimal universe<\/strong> soon became a source of inspiration for many artists<\/strong> and creatives<\/strong>, influencing the world of fashion, at the levels of Heron Preston<\/strong> or Virgil Abloh.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The only difference lies in Justin’s<\/strong> shy and reserved nature, who managed to make a huge impact<\/strong>, while remaining almost always hidden<\/strong> behind his own shadow.<\/p>\n

So we come to 2017, where the definition JJJJound aesthetic<\/strong> perfectly encloses a certain type of taste: minimal, elegant and clean.<\/em><\/p>\n

But let’s go back to his latest collab<\/strong>, the shoe chosen as the protagonist is the New Balance 992<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It is obviously characterized by the minimal<\/strong> style and simplicity<\/strong> that the artist places in his creations, without ever resulting in the banal.<\/p>\n

We find a mesh<\/strong> and suede<\/strong> upper that goes from shades of gray to those of brown, a color scheme<\/strong> taken from the last collaboration.<\/p>\n

Here too the New Balance logo is black<\/strong> and the laces are off-white.<\/strong><\/p>\n
