For the second collection of Louise Trotter<\/strong><\/a> for\u00a0Lacoste Spring\/Summer 2020<\/strong><\/a>, Helen Kirkum<\/strong>, the \u201ccollagist of sneakers<\/em>\u201d has rework the iconic brand’s sneakers.<\/h4>\n

Helen Kirkum<\/strong><\/a> is an artist and designer based in London<\/strong> that, after having graduated at the\u00a0London Royal College of Art<\/strong><\/a> in 2016, has founded, a year later, her first studio in order to create and showcase her handmade<\/strong> creations.
\n<\/span>Her\u00a0avant-garde <\/strong>shoes, are\u00a0made-to-order<\/strong>, because every piece is one of a kind.\u00a0The\u00a0sneakers<\/strong>, passing through her hands,\u00a0become wearable\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>collage<\/strong>\u00a0which melt together different materials, creating a sustainable<\/strong> and never trivial product.<\/p>\n

In occasion of this\u00a0collaboration<\/strong>, Lacoste<\/strong><\/a> opened its archives to the designer, allowing her to deconstruct, cut and reassemble the past season’s leftovers<\/strong>, to create\u00a0upcycled\u00a0<\/strong>sneakers<\/strong>.\u00a0 The unisex sneakers<\/strong> proposed in the fashion show are new hybrids<\/strong>, referred to the iconic Lacoste models<\/strong>. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
