Vans<\/strong> celebrates the #VansCheckerboardDay<\/strong> with the launch of a charity auction in collaboration with eBay for Charity<\/strong>, with a collection of footwear and backpacks designed by Vans Global Ambassadors<\/strong> to inspire creative expression. From 11th to 21st November<\/strong> Vans fans can visit the appropriate eBay web page<\/a> to bid on their favorite items; the proceeds will be collected for the benefit of Imagination.org<\/strong><\/a> and its mission to promote and finance the creativity of young people around the world.<\/p>\n

The Vans Checkerboard Day<\/a> charity auction will include a Vans Classic Slip-On<\/strong> and an Old Skool III<\/strong> backpack<\/strong> from each ambassador including: Christian Hosoi, Geoff McFetridge, Kim Jaekyung, Brighton Zeuner, Laurie Vincent, Steve Van Doren<\/strong> and others emphasizing the importance of creativity in one’s life.
\n“There are very few brands that encourage their athletes to break the mold and be creative in the way they choose to express themselves,” said Brighton Zeuner<\/strong>, the Olympic skateboarder and world champion of the Vans Park Series. “My Vans family knows how much I’m passionate about fashion and how much I love expressing myself following my style – both inside and outside the skate parks – and designing a unique design to help others express themselves was an offer I couldn’t refuse \u201d.<\/p>\n
