After making fun of the collection during recent appearances – and in an interview in the latest Harper’s Bazaar release in Korea – Pharrell<\/strong> officially presented his complete collaboration with Chanel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n “Chanel Pharrell”<\/strong>, the captivating name of the collection, presents a series of co-branding details, including embroidery and sequin logos, clothing, shoes and jewelery. The collection also refers to a personal anecdote from Pharrell<\/strong>, who had bet with a friend who could never work with Chanel. Having lost this bet, Pharrell printed his answer to his friend on a shirt.<\/p>\n In conjunction with the launch of the collection, Pharrell has made a video behind the scenes<\/strong> of the collection. In the video, the artist discusses the idea of \u200b\u200bgender fluidity, meeting Karl Lagerfeld and the importance of the number 5 as an influence on the collection. Other video participants discuss the influence of Akira<\/strong> and the motorcycle gangs on the countryside. The collection also blends with Chanel’s “devotion to high fashion and craftsmanship”.<\/p>\n The complete “Chanel Pharrell” collection will be released in Seoul on March 29th<\/strong>, before being distributed worldwide on April 4th<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
\nAmong the highlights of the collection are the yellow, flared bathrobe, sweatshirts and brightly colored t-shirts. Other key pieces include the range of accessories, which includes oversize shopper bags<\/strong>, “Chanel Pharrell” diamond jewelery<\/strong> and bucket hats. In terms of footwear, the collection includes sneakers with hand-drawn text and doodles, as well as moccasins and cursors with a joint brand.<\/p>\n
