Following the mantra of the British colleague Vivienne Westwood<\/strong> to “buy less and make it last”<\/strong>, the designer John Richmond<\/strong> presented for the Fall\/Winter 2019<\/strong> a careful processing of old military uniforms<\/strong> chopped and patched for both the men’s and women’s collections.<\/p>\n Here come on the catwalk nylon jackets<\/strong>, dark pants with zipper<\/strong> and a series of adorable military jackets<\/strong> made with a cineserie of colored sequins on the back, while the denim with zip<\/strong> detail was made in a Turkish factory that relies on laser cuts thus reducing drastically the consumption of water.<\/p>\n Utilitarianism and Glam<\/strong> are the keywords respectively for men and women. The result? A real parade of short dresses<\/strong>: some decorated, some sparkling, with pointed shoulders or large bows on the front in contrast with other models of more hybrid clothes, made with military jackets paired with embellished skirts.<\/p>\n A big comeback for the brand John Richmond that after leaving the Milan catwalks in September 2015, he returned to parade at Milano Moda Uomo and he made it very much in tune with the mood of the moment.
