For decades, now, the two practices have been talking, communicating with each other, giving life to clothing collections or works of art. Artists and designers come together motivated by one force: creation. The Nemozena brand inherits this aspect and realizes together with Liz West the itinerant installation Aglow. Already on display in Paris, at the Musée Nissim de Camondo, and in the Emirates, on the occasion of the Dubai Fashion Week, the work will arrive in Milan in February 2019, on the occasion of the Fashion Week.

The reason why the collaboration between the company and the British artist was born, derives from the desire not to close the fashion industry inside itself, leading it to always observe the same places and faces. As well as the stories. The need to look beyond has led Nemozenza to «collaborate with women belonging to the world of art and design, with excellent feedback», explains the brand. And indeed the results have been seen, above all on social media, (not) place where the work has been shared several times. A little because it is characterized by a precise, colored, simple aesthetic in its own way; and then because of the positivity it emanates, observing it.

Transparency and beauty, therefore. Both are conditions that the brand and West have in common: in the first case it means to immediately clear the message about the type of fashion you want to create, and in the case in question it is about clothes made with excellent raw materials, which they are distinguished by their purity. Moreover, Nemozenza is sensitive to the issue of consumerism and waste, which is not a small thing for a brand at the beginning. The works of Liz West, graduated in 2007 at the Glasgow School of Art, seem the declination in art of the stylistic concept carried out by the young fashion house. Just remember the works of the Through series or the Our Color Reflection installation.

Colors and light are the visual characteristics of Aglow, given by one hundred and sixty-nine acrylic bowls, arranged in an hexagonal shape. At a meta-artistic level, they are also the reflection on which the work of West moves, and of Nemozena, whose goal is the search for beauty, of a fashion that is both lifestyle and long lasting. Like art.

shop.nemozena.com

shopenauer.com/it/brand/nemozena

Fashion and art.
