This last stage of a month full of events presents some of the most anticipated shows, from Gucci to the debut of Hedi Slimane for Celine. There is no doubt that Paris is the capital of fashion par excellence, so we have gathered for you the most important fashion shows of Paris Fashion Week.

SAINT LAURENT

Anthony Vaccarello brought a wonderful evening show to Paris Fashion Week, where the models walked on water under the lights of the Eiffel Tower. Following the aesthetics of the label’s signature, the collection was predominantly black, and featured silhouettes like feminine tuxedos, short dresses and rock-inspired jacket, all surrounded by the iconic Saint Laurent character. Throughout the range, luxurious colors such as gold and silver were present with party-like influence combined with more elegant pieces.

JACQUEMUS

Jacquemus has won many awards during the last year, and this time the designer was inspired by the Côte d’Azur for his Spring / Summer 2019 collection. From fringed straw bags, to elegant sandals, through daring earrings, Jacquemus has proven to know how to make accessories. Of course, we also saw the exclusive label mini-wallet in new versions, as well as beach-inspired looks with white shirts, short skirts and bright shorts.

GUCCI

Perhaps one of the most anticipated shows of the Paris fashion week. Alessandro Michele brought his presentation to Le Palais in Paris and debuted with a series of colorful and vintage-inspired pieces. From monogram suits to layered dresses, the pieces showed Michele’s vision and attention to detail, all complemented by eye-catching accessories like necklaces and glasses. The show also saw a Mickey Mouse bag (which this year celebrates 90 years), and a decidedly bold headdress. The result: Gucci strikes again.

DIOR

Maria Grazia Chiuri focused on simplicity in what is said to be her latest collection for Dior. Using a limited range of colors in navy blue, beige, black and green, the designer showed off her exclusive tailored and feminine personalizations throughout the range. We have also seen delicate accessories, such as belts, bracelets and earrings with logo. Of course, the collection also included the iconic Saddle Bag, which made a comeback in Kim Jones’s Dior Homme collection earlier this year.

MAISON MARGIELA

The vision of John Galliano for Margiela has been carefully communicated through the previous collections of the designer and this time it was not so different. The catwalk has seen a collection composed of a gender mix, with a mix of men’s and women’s clothing, with masculine silhouettes and feminine layers. The range also included daring accessories, such as an iPhone anklet and PVC and nylon headgear. The 2019 spring / summer collection also featured a selection of shiny sandals, as well as strappy leather boots.

CELINE

Hedi Slimane took this first Celine fashion show to flip the nail over his head. If Phoebe Philo has so far been praised for creating elegant and her essential vision of women, Hedi Slimane has instead served a true rockstar collection. This was evident in the palette of blacks, in his interpretation of leather goods and in countless sequins. A particular look that caught our attention has characterized an oversized polka dot dress worn with a pill-box hat and black lace-up boots. Men’s clothing was also prevalent during the presentation and indefinitely recalled Slimane‘s projects during his influential period at Saint Laurent as a creative director.

The fashion month is about to end with the latest Paris fashion week fashion shows.
