Everything was born in 1945<\/strong> by soldier Klaus Martens<\/strong> who, seeking a solution to an accident in the war, tried to create an alternative non-hard leather sole.
\nEverything takes a different turn when he arrives in Munich, met an old friend of his degree in mechanical engineering, Dr. Herbert Funk,<\/strong> who tells his new idea about prototypes<\/strong> of eight-holes<\/strong>.
\nFrom here begins the real production<\/strong> of Dr. Martens by the two friends, and business\u00a0 partners:<\/strong> we are in 1947.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Twelve years later, in England,<\/strong> the entrepreneur Griggs<\/strong> known for producing military amphibians<\/strong> at the beginning of the 20th century, notes the announcement of the two friends and decides to contact them as it is enchanted by their new invention<\/strong>: in 1959<\/strong> the boots were purchased from Griggs and gave them the name of “DR.\u00a0 Martens<\/strong> “.<\/p>\n

The years in which the boots came to light were those that saw a wave of unprecedented\u00a0 change:<\/strong>\u00a0cultural derangements,<\/strong> birth of new social groups<\/strong> such as punk, methal, emo, hippie<\/strong>, social revolutions<\/strong> and the birth of new ideas<\/strong>. Dr. Martens have always been the emblem<\/strong> of punk culture<\/strong>, to which we still associate them today.<\/p>\n
