\"KENZO\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The fashion designer\u00a0Kenzo Takada<\/strong>\u00a0was born in Japan and moved to Paris in 1964 to start his fashion career. In 1970 he founded\u00a0Kenzo<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and he became immediately famous\u00a0for using Asian and Japanese influenced style with the expert construction of European high fashion. He started out with a\u00a0‘Jungle Jap’<\/strong>\u00a0boutique located in Paris that\u00a0Kenzo<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0renovated himself decorating it in jungle inspired decor.\u00a0It was also the venue of his first show. He began with handmade women’s clothing, then in 1983 Kenzo started designing men and then kids and home collections in 1987.<\/p>\n

In 1988, his women’s perfume line began with\u00a0“Kenzo de Kenzo”<\/strong>,\u00a0“Parfum d’\u00e9t\u00e9”<\/strong>,\u00a0“Le monde est beau”<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0“L’eau par Kenzo”<\/strong>. His first men’s fragrance,\u00a0“Kenzo pour Homme”<\/strong>, in 1991.\u00a0“FlowerbyKenzo”<\/strong>, launched in 2000, and has since become a flagship fragrance for the\u00a0Kenzo Parfums<\/strong>\u00a0brand. In 2001, a skincare line,\u00a0KenzoKI<\/strong>\u00a0was also launched.<\/p>\n

Kenzo Takada<\/strong>\u00a0announced his retirement in 1999, leaving his assistants in charge of his fashion house.\u00a0In 2003, Italian designer\u00a0Antonio Marras\u00a0<\/strong>joined the brand and was named creative director in December 2008.\u00a0Two years later,\u00a0Kenzo<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0turned to a different type of design by launching\u00a0Gokan Kobo<\/strong>, a brand of tableware, home objects and furniture.<\/p>\n

It was announced in July 2011, that\u00a0Marras<\/strong>\u00a0would leaving his creative directorship at\u00a0Kenzo<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0and be succeeded by\u00a0Humberto Leon<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Carol Lim<\/strong>, the duo behind cult US clothing store\u00a0Opening Ceremony<\/strong>.\u00a0Their aim is to shake up the\u00a0‘jungle’<\/em>\u00a0world of fashion. Their iconic\u00a0tiger shirt<\/strong>\u00a0and clothing has been worn by many celebrities and fashion bloggers. They also worked on many collaborations, specially the one with\u00a0H&M<\/strong>\u00a0released on November 2016 that aimed to put the brand in a worldwide popularity.<\/p>\n
