Geography as a story, evidence of worlds, some real, others result of the creativity of the authors, who tells them. New rocks shapes, the rivers quench their thirst, deserts change. Yet they continue to exist. Such as Wadi Rum<\/em> or Valley of the Moon<\/em>, the lunar charm place located in southern Jordan, and location chosen for the realization of Theeb<\/em>, film of 2014 directed by Naji Abu Nowar<\/em>. The story is that of a young Bedouin that while the world was facing the first great war, has to face the brutal reality of the desert during a trip to accompany an English officer in a secret destination. These two elements, together, have inspired the brothers Nicholas <\/strong>and Christopher Kunz<\/strong>, for the realization of their spring summer 2017 collection of their brand Nicholas K<\/strong><\/a> presented in New York during fashion week.<\/p>\n

\"Nicholas<\/a><\/p>\n

The original appearance, untouched, albeit somehow lived, of those remote areas of the world has produced fluids and versatile clothing<\/strong>. The long coats<\/strong> that recall the endless garments of the inhabitants of the desert stand on shorter dresses that correspond to color or print. They could therefore miss the kaftans<\/strong> as well as elegant silk pants<\/strong>. Black, granite <\/strong>and sand<\/strong> make up a palette that reflects the Arab geography. Stiffness, physical, social and natural worlds of those has also pushed Nicholas K using, among the materials chosen, even organic cotton <\/strong>and vegetable dyed leathers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Nicholas<\/a><\/p>\n

The result is a strong woman, very contemporary<\/strong>, which makes comfort her elegant style, chic. But this is not a sports-inspired collection, but a transposition in suits of a wild world that few have the courage to find out, as if it were an aspect of the self that does not have the strength to face. An aesthetic transposition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"Nicholas<\/a><\/p>\n

From 2015 the founder duo of Nicholas K continues its independent course<\/strong> within an increasingly slave system to itself, in which the space for truly creative collections is left to a few, to those who can, while the rest is a race sales, consumption. So what to do? Maybe travel, meet and learn seem the only solution to remain unique in what lately, at least in ready to wear, has become a cause of many a creative desert.<\/p>\n
