For lovers of premium jeans at Capsule Berlin we discovered a new brand. It’s called Livid Jean and comes from Norway.
The label immediately strikes the eye: engraved on the logo we see two wrestlers facing each other with their bare hands. The product looks very nice and clean. How to tell us about the founders, the brand was born with the attention possible only in small artisan factories, away from the logic of the mass market. The brand makes use of cottons from extremely selected provenances as the legendary Cone Mills White Oak cotton, one of the denim manufacturing 100% American, from the first 900.
The thing that most impressed us (and in some way that makes this unique jeans) is another: founded in 2010, today LIVID IS THE ONLY COMPANY MANUFACTURING CLOTHING in Norway. One thing that really upset us, if we think of a country like ours, Italy, strongly affected by the relocation but where still domestic production, based on high-level features is an important part of the economy.
Norway was once a country where the production of clothing had its weight in the country. Today, however, nothing. Or almost. The goal of Livid is therefore not merely economic, but it is to give life a bulwark through a heroic gesture flavor, deep and thoughtful.
The brand now has 2 lines: one made precisely, entirely in Norwegian lab (where you see the photo), the other in Portugal, both of which ensure the high standards that are part of the DNA of the brand.
