Vans and the artist Taka Hayashi have collaborated to make DIY sneakers – “Design It Yourself”.
They made the two classic models of Vans: the Sk8-Hi and the Old School.
The upper, which is all ‘marshmallow‘ color, has velcro inserts, positioned specifically to give the opportunity to the customer to customize their sneakers by applying various patches.
A detail that makes them even more unique is the contrasting red and blue seams.
Each pair of shoes is sold together with a bag containing many colorful patches to customize them according to your personal taste.
The red and blue seams work as “maps” for the correct placement of patches.
The Vans x Taka Hayashi is now available on the HBX’s website for $198 for Sk8-Hi and $210 for Old School.
