After a first launch, shortly after the start of the new year, the extravagant “Bianchetto”, the result of the duet Reebok – Maison Margiela, makes its return!
This is not the first time that we see the giant sportwear Reebok alongside the immense creativity of Margiela. The two have already collaborated in a sneaker “cyber industrial“, hybrid between Tabi Margiela and Instapump Fury Reebok.
The second model, presented by the two on 30 January 2021, is certainly less “futuristic” but more “raw” and authentic. Sold out in no time, it will be re-launched online on April 9 with a second drop.
The sneaker is the result of a fusion of silhouettes and iconic techniques of both brands. The design of a Classic Leather by Reebok, is reinterpreted by John Galliano with the unmistakable split-toe and the cover in what might look like white paint. In fact, on an EVA sole, we find a black nappa upper covered with a white hand painted lining, made following the “Bianchetto” technique, another distinctive feature of Maison Margiela.
