THE COMPANY DRAWS FROM ITS ARCHIVE FOR THE 850 OUTPUT, 24 YEARS AFTER ITS DEBUT
The 850 New Balance sneaker is the latest creative effort from the Boston brand. In fact, it was first introduced in 1996 and immediately afterwards the model is considered by sneaker nerds, a piece that radically moved away from previous New Balance designs. This is because it was originally created to be a running shoe capable of providing stability. The silhouette was characterized by a modernized upper where the traditional side “N” logo was replaced with the “NB” logo embroidered on the heel. This change led to an innovative design that included color blocking and a multi-layer upper, fully representing the aesthetics of the 90s.
Today everything is different. Almost. In fact, the 850 remains faithful to its heritage by presenting a mesh upper, leather with synthetic side reinforcements, the “NB” logo on the heel and a shaped tongue. Instead, reflective details on the upper are introduced. And also the carbon rubber sole completes this very colorful, original silhouette that takes us back 25 years to the period of the No-Logo and the minimal-logo.
The 850 New Balance sneaker is available in the women’s and men’s versions.
