Superga and the brand Paura, by Danilo Paura, are back to collaborate in a collection and a project curated by the photographer Adriano Cisani with the name Serenissima. The name chosen for the collection is a real word pun, an oxymoron, between the unusual surname of the fashion designer and the opposite mood, fear but still serenity.
Behind the collaboration project between Superga, the image brand of Italians in the summer and their canvas shoes, and the lesser-known but equally Italian brand Danilo Paura, with a super street, chaotic and charged character, lies the idea of bringing back the italiniaty to its primordial artisan form, the know-how of experts and lovers of the simple life. A breath away from the industrialization of an international brand such as Superga, which rather reaches the core, the origins of the brand and manufacturing.

A collaboration, therefore, which talks about culture and tradition but that, from the appearance of the products, tends to hide this traits of close link with the roots. The underground, graphic look with a strong resonance with street wear and the youth world needed a design spin-off that could really tell the values that the crossing between the two brands wanted to manifest.
It is with this intent that Serenissima was born, which in addition to the collection is a real photographic reportage by the fashion photographer Adriano Cisani, who immortalizes the capsule in pictorial scenarios, in images that smell of sea and slow summers, materic and authentic soul of the territory. In the background, a muted Venice, far from the touristy Piazza San Marco, between fishermen’s nets and Murano glass.
