“Better to reign in hell than to serve in heaven”. So MSCHF, after creating the Jesus Sneaker, descends into the underworld throwing the “scary” Satan Shoes!
MSCHF, born in Brooklyn, is a collective of creative hyper always looking for the most absurd product that can be invented. Its founder does not give a label to the brand, which deliberately does not have a well-defined positioning on the market. Far from it, the company gives life to extravagant and bizarre creations of all kinds, from sneakers like the Air Max 97 with sole containing Holy water, to bathroom bombs in the shape of toasters, to Youtube channels with only videos of people eating and even App for stock investments based on astrological theories!
“We are not here to make the world a better place. We are shedding light on how much everything sucks.”
Whether or not to rely on the stars is your choice, definitely risky! Just as it is risky to wear the Satan Shoes! The sneaker in question was created in collaboration with rapper Lil Nas X. At the base of the project there is an Air Max 97 total black, although Nike is not officially part of it. To give a dark character to the shoe, in addition to the upper in black, we find red inserts and metal pendant representing the clear symbol of reference. But the most extravagant and certainly also the most provocative element is the liquid that flows into the transparent sole: 66 cc of red fluid and, as stated by the brand, a drop of human blood.
We want to think that it is just a provocation and not that the creative of MSCHF in a quiet afternoon in the company of Lil Nas X, have personally filled the soles of the sneaker.. but everything is possible and above all for them everything is granted as long as it is feasible.
The limited edition models could only be 666 worldwide, each pair numbered from 1 to 666. Who will be the brave ones? The drop is expected for the day of 29 March, 17.00 Italian, on the website dedicated to them. And you on whose side are? Paradise or Hell?
