In a world where the theme of sustainability now involves every area, first and foremost the fashion system, Veja can be considered a pillar in this respect. The fairtrade approach supported by an eco-friendly philosophy and the use of advanced technologies have allowed the brand to make a social, economic and ecological difference. But the real protagonists are her sneakers which, beyond the sustainable footprint, reveal at the same time refinement and innovative design. In short, all these factors have allowed the brand founded in 2004 by the French Sèbastien Kopp and Francois Ghislain Morillon to stand out on the international scene.
Well, today the footwear brand is joined by another great artistic personality: Malika Favre. His illustrations have been around the world making their way into the most important newspapers. What makes it famous is that vaguely exotic touch, a colourful and lively style that shows a particularly refined feminine side. Veja’s minimal design meets Malika Favre’s pop/op aesthetic in a collaboration that welcomes Spring Summer 2021.
The protagonist is the Nova High designed this time with a screen-printed canvas. Specifically, the sneaker is made of organic cotton and Amazon rubber for the soles. A key detail is the iconic “V”, which in this case takes on the appearance of a mouth closed on a woman’s face, two blood-red lips contrasting with Klein blue. The model is also available for children. Colorful red and blue graphics adorn the ChromeFree leather upper with velcro closure.
Prices are around 110 € for adults and 85 € for children. Both models are now available in the shops and on the Veja website.
