Jimmy Choo has launched a limited edition collection that pays tribute to the New York of the 80s, in particular to the art, music and underground style of that time.
For this collection, the creative director of the maison Sandra Choi has decided to combine two unique personalities with Jimmy Choo: “Poggy” Kogi and Eric Haze. The first, of Japanese origin, has now become a street style fashion icon, while the second is a very famous graffiti artist from New York who collaborates with the world of streetwear thanks to his artistic skills.
Jimmy Choo took inspiration from both for this refined collection with a street touch.
From the symbol of the Haze star, Jimmy Choo has obtained a motif (in graffiti style) with which to cover shoes, bags and accessories that has become the emblem of the collection.
The highlight of the collection is the unisex moccasin covered with shattered crystals, truly glamorous. However, there is no shortage of stiletto heels and Haze-themed men’s slippers.
Haze also created a sweatshirt for the collection on which he redesigned the Jimmy Choo logo.
Thanks to Poggy, the collaboration has given life to sneakers by Jimmy Choo, which combine white with black, blue and red, the dominant colors of the collection.
To accompany the collection there is also a toy, a Be@rbrick created by the company Mediacom Toy.
The limited edition collection is available on the official Jimmy Choo website and at selected physical boutiques.
