Angelo Dall’Osso and Tiziana Stancich talk about the success of Showroom 999 in via Archimede 10 – Milan
After several years of activity in the fashion sector and in particular in the world of footwear, Angelo Dall’Osso and Tiziana Stancich open Showroom 999 in Milan: three large spaces in via Archimede 10 host the most contemporary collections of premium and leading brands in the sector.
In this interview the two owners tell us the story of their company and their point of view towards the fashion system.
What sparked the interest in joining the fashion system?
I am passionate about the world of art and have always tried to mix this strong interest with fashion. I entered the world of footwear at a young age and at 19 I opened my first showroom in Milan following the top Italian shops of those years. After some time I moved to Via Borgogna where, thanks to the loyal customer package, the location and the selection of brands, I felt the need to expand and with Tiziana we moved to Via Archimede 10, with three spaces and new brands.
What was the turning point of your company that allowed you to establish yourself in the area?
We were lucky enough to start collaborating with a very performing brand that we started distributing right away in high-end stores. Subsequently, thanks to the opening of the spaces in via Archimede 10, to our long-standing loyal customer package and the careful care in selecting new brands, we have expressed ourselves and established ourselves more and more in the world of accessories and footwear.
What determines the selection of the brands you collaborate with? What are the prerequisites you look for in a brand?
We love handcrafted footwear, the premium world. We prefer brands that have a history behind them and that are specialized in a particular product segment. The concreteness and being a leader are certainly prerequisites: a collection must arouse emotion and hit the target, always remaining at the forefront and aligned with market demands.
Trust is a fundamental ingredient in this system.. What is the secret to maintaining a relationship of trust with the customer?
The relationship of trust is certainly based on seriousness and the fact of demonstrating over time both shops and brands that they can count on our know-how and our way of working. Every season we take care to always update our proposal to keep up with trends and meet the needs of our consumers. We take great care in selecting our partners in the area: we prefer to go personally to follow the market trend, thus managing to sublimate its essence. The service we offer must always be impeccable.
How are you coping with the readjustment of b2b sales given the health emergency?
We immediately adjusted to the regulations with the highest safety standards.
The b2b platform is a tool that has certainly facilitated the expression of the brand’s identity at the time of sale. The world of b2b is indispensable; once the safety emergency has passed, it will undoubtedly remain an excellent working system that will integrate with the more classic methods.
How much has digitalisation affected the sell outs of boutiques?
A lot, those who had the online platform were certainly benefited. Internally we have adapted to provide both digital and e-commerce site creation services, using trusted companies.
Have you ever considered expanding the categories of products offered, also opening up to clothing?
We believe that since we specialize in footwear, if we were to start a project concerning clothing, it should be with an already known company or collaborate on a particular capsule collection, as we have already done in the past, achieving excellent results. The environment is slowly identifying us as the ideal showroom that allows top shops to find the right accessory and footwear: we are a reference above all for the best companies specializing in clothing.
How much is craftsmanship worth to you in the world of footwear?
It’s essential. We are oriented towards made in Italy or in any case towards leading companies in the sector that pay a lot of attention to manufacturing and with strong aesthetic taste, characterized by great craftsmanship.
Thanks to the characteristics of each one, we have created a winning team in which everyone is able to put their own contribution in the work we do.

What are 999’s next steps and future goals?
We believe it is of fundamental importance to give space to young people. Many people on our team are young people we choose to grow together professionally. We are happy to have created a team that gets along well and works together in the best possible way. Surely the main goal is to establish ourselves more and more in Italy and abroad and continue to work in the best possible way with our customers. We are pleased to have been chosen to collaborate with some of our companies also at the level of consulting, planning and strategy.
