THE ENGLISH BRAND AND THE FOUNDATION DEDICATED TO THE SINGER COLLABORATE FOR THE SPRING-SUMMER 2020 COLLECTION
Love is the starting point of the new Fred Perry x Amy Winehouse Foundation collection, for spring-summer 2020. The capsule “is inspired by the original models created by Amy for the brand, available in a monochromatic palette and enriched with polka dots, checkered and animal prints.” They explain from the company.
Among the essential items, the polo shirt stands out. And for the occasion “it is slightly fitted, with a lively red and black leopard motif”. In addition, “it has a long, narrow buttoned flap and rolled-up sleeves as in the original version designed by the singer.”
The silhouette of the dress does not change. And it is made of black piqué cotton and with leopard details. The bomber, however, “reflects the sporty style of Fred Perry and stands out for the iconic Laurel Wreath – the laurel wreath symbol of the brand – embroidered on the back of the jacket.”
Two important details remain, the first aesthetic and the other ethical. Each item of the collection is signed with two carefully positioned red hearts: a reference to the distinctive tattoos of Amy Winehouse. Finally, Fred Perry x Amy Winehouse Foundation helps to support the fundamental work of the charity. In fact, the primary goal is to help young people who have been victims of drug and alcohol addiction.
