On the 14th of May, was held the 66th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest at the Palasport Olimpico in Turin. The winner this year was the Ukrainian group Kalush Orchestra, while Italy, represented by Mahmood and Blanco, achieved sixth place.
However, the two singers, winners of the Sanremo Festival 2022, showed off some crazy looks during their performances, certainly excelling in terms of style.
We will see now the best outfits worn during this edition of the contest.
Let’s start with the retro look of Lithuanian singer Monika Liu, who conquered us with her short bob and a sparkling mermaid dress by Mas924.
Representing Greece, Amanda Georgiadis Tenfjord performed wearing a beautiful long white dress in taffeta, bringing on stage the Greek couture of Celia Kritharioti.
Malta was shining too, thanks to Emma Muscat, who performed in a stunning mirror minidress.
Sheldon Riley performed for Australia, wearing an angelic white suit under a feather cloak by Alin Le’ Kal matched with a jewel mask by House of Emmanuele.
Mahmood and Blanco played with opposites once again: the former wearing an elegant Prada full jacket and trousers with detailed lines, because with total-black you cannot go wrong, while the latter chose a transparent pyjama set entirely embroidered with silver sequins by Valentino Haute Couture, from the Anatomy of Couture collection.
The two hosts Alessandro Cattelan and Mika also played with the oppositions. Cattelan, brought on stage the contemporary elegance of Giorgio Armani with mostly dark looks, characterized by bright details or jaquard fabrics, while Mika dared with his monochromatic custom made Valentino looks, made by Pierpaolo Piccioli, passing from white to the irresistible Pink PP that has become a symbol of the Maison.
Måneskin made a great return. They performed as guests bringing their rock soul and wearing coordinated red and black looks by Gucci. High waisted trousers and a bodysuit for Damiano; transparent tank top and black beret for Ethan; oversize jacket for Thomas; jacket with structured straps, leggings and high heeled boots for Victoria.
But the undisputed queen of style throughout the event was Laura Pausini, who hosted the show changing many outfits during the course of the evenings, going from the colors and the sequins of Versace and Valentino to the wide shapes and elegant lines of Alberta Ferretti.

In short, Italy may not have won the competition but has certainly shown its undeniable taste for fashion.
