Lately there has been a strong resurgence of brands producing technical outdoor clothing for trekking.
Each with its own culture, history and philosophy is trying to redefine the concept of the outdoors in a unique and innovative way.
Today we are talking about the new Spring/Summer 21 collection by And Wander, a Japanese brand founded in 2011 by the creative minds of two designers, Keita Ikeuchi and Mihoko Mori.
Two creatives already present in the world of fashion for having worked for Issey Miyake (a legend of Japanese fashion) and who have always cultivated two passions in common, nature and mountaineering.
The two designers won the Tokyo Fashion Award, one of the most important fashion prizes in Asia.
And Wander today combines beautifully designed garments and accessories created for the outdoors, and made refined with a sense of Parisian street style.
The new SS21 collection also features the new “Printed Bug Mesh Hoodie”, which rightly demands two more words.
Material: 100% polyester
One can immediately see the intertwining of technical fabrics and high fashion details.
The brand describes it as follows: “An insect repellent jacket with a print of the original pattern made from a fine mesh material used for mosquito nets. The hood that covers your face can be opened and closed with a zip. ”
And Wander recently began collaborating with several brands, most notably Salomon, a brand that has been on a sharp upswing in recent times.
The collaboration came out in March 2021 and sees the design of the Cross Sandal, a super sturdy sandal with adjustable details and straps, and the Cross Hike trainer with reflective elements.
You can read the full article on this collaboration with Salomon here.
The new collection can already be purchased on the And Wander website.
