With this new collaboration, adidas Originals and White Mountaneering reproduce the legendary Nite Jogger in two new colors, using new materials, exceptional technologies and the symbols of both brands in the foreground.
Born in 1980, the Nite Jogger sneaker is a model born literally to be seen: it was the first running shoe with reflective elements and, for the past 40 years, it has been constantly updated, embracing contemporary technologies and materials.
Here, then, that the new proposal signed adidas Originals x White Mountaineering, combines functional and avant-garde design details, with an unmistakable urban aesthetics.
In his imaginative reinterpretation, White Mountaineering has chosen two bold colors for the suede leather layers that make up the upper, alternating with mesh and fabric inserts. In keeping with the origins of Nite Jogger, many structural elements are made of reflective materials to point out the sneaker in the dark.
The first version proposes a bright collage of orange, green and red, while the second one opts for a more sober palette of greens, grays and bordeaux that recalls woods and nature.
Both sneakers provocatively report the slogan of White Mountaineering on the tongue, which reads: One: design. Two: practicality. Three: technology. Imagination to blend all these elements. The choice not to submit to sales and market rules.
The logo of the Japanese brand instead, more discreet, appears both on the TPU counter-block and under the iconic three adidas stripes – the perfect mix for a shoe that only the meeting between these two minds could give birth to.
