The must-haves of summer 2020
Scrolling through the Instagram home it seems that 2020 is not such a disastrous year. Summer fashion trends were not long in coming and we like them a lot.
We have identified and selected 10 characteristics that cannot be missing from the garments in your wardrobe or the next ones to enter your Wishlist.
1. Soft colors
Summer brings with it the desire for color, bright and fresh shades; even total black lovers occasionally abandon black in favor of lighter and brighter shades.
The coolest palette of the moment is undoubtedly that of pastel colors, passing through nude shades, up to pale pink and pale yellow. These shades, combined with their nuances, are the undisputed protagonists of the SS20 catwalks and Instagram feed thanks to their versatility in the combination.
2. Lilac color
In the pastel color palette, those who excel this season are undoubtedly lilac. A cold color capable of “warming up” any of your outfits, illuminating the tanned complexion and completing any outfit, even if not very refined.
3. Tie & Dye
This fashion tied purely to the 90s is nothing but a stained / shaded effect very easy to make . All you need is a tight, crumpled colored T-shirt immersed in bleach or a white T-shirt immersed, in the same way, in a fabric color. You can play with it for days, each garment you dye will be unique and will have a thousand different shades !
The winning fabric for this season is undoubtedly satin.
A clean and refined look for both day and evening. Although satin is not so easily wearable or particularly suitable for all physical characteristics, there is a solution in addition to the classic dress with thin straps : the oversized shirt with a V-neck.
A valid alternative to the tops with a square neckline and short balloon sleeves are the one-shoulder tops , even better with the asymmetrical cut . Bringing a touch of originality to the simplest looks is very easy to accessorise.
6. Bare back
After talking about the soft looks in pastel colors, you are wondering what is the most “risque” feature of this season’s outfit. The answer is the back . Completely naked or with lace inserts I see I don’t see , a symbol of dynamism for the day and extremely sensual for the evening
7. The oversized blazer
Here we are at the garment par excellence of the season: the oversized blazer . Worn over a short dress, a short top or even over a bandeau costume or the popular trikini.
For the boldest looks it can be worn over a cycling shorts and a bralette. Needless to deny that the main inspirations of looks with this garment come from the iconic SS20 “Le coup de soleil” collection by Jacquemus .
8. The mini dress
As for the lengths, 2020 points to the short.
Mini dress with drapery, bare shoulders and volumes. More than prints, the focus is on monochrome , white is king for short cut dresses: a must as is the black winter dress.
9. Square toe sandals
To complete our outfits the trendy footwear for the season are undoubtedly the sandals with a square toe , directly from the catwalk of Bottega Veneta . With or without heels, the mules are the most popular sandals of the moment. You already know the shades of color, perfect for the quilted texture .
10. Pouch bag
The trendy Bag also comes from the mind of Daniel Lee , creative director of Bottega Veneta . This bag, called Pouch, can be carried as a clutch bag or directly on the shoulder , in a model with a large mesh handle. Many brands within everyone’s reach have taken inspiration from the Maison and today this bag model is in the hands of all fashion addicts !
