C’è un certo ritorno del cappellino a pom pom… spiritoso e in salsa streetwear. Qui vedete nell’ordine Kangol x Cool Cats e Acapulco Gold, disponibili su Colette (45 € e 40€), e le cuffie di Wesc disponibili su Superfly (30€).

In qualche maniera sono la risposta di Wesc alle Beats di Dr Dre. Wesc ormai è un brand la cui notorietà in Italia è ormai  dovuta tanto (se non oltre) alle headphones che all’abbigliamento. Come Beats si è legata al leggendario dj-producer Dr Dre, Wesc lega il suo nome a un altro gigante: RZA e lancia i suoi nuovi gioielli, le Chambers by RZA in uscita a inizio dicembre. L’impatto delle cuffie è di design, imponente, massiccio eppure pulito. Abbiamo 2 modelli: di fascia prezzo alta (170 euro) e  molto alta (275 euro) che si chiamano rispettivamente Street e Premium. Le prime arrivano in 4 colori, il modello luxury invece sarà disponibile solo in bianco e nero. Alcune caratteristiche superano in un certo senso le Beats. Se la qualità audio è ai massimi livelli, in linea col prezzo, la novità è la possibilità di condividere la musica che si sta ascoltando coi propri amici, in possesso delle stesse cuffie. Idea geniale. Il modello premium è dotato di luci al led che si accendono a ritmo della musica (effetto super-tamarro? aspettiamo di vederle dal vivo). Tutti i vari comandi sono ‘al tocco’ mediante una leggera pressione sul padiglione. Sicuramente ci aspettiamo di vederle indossate ai calciatori di serie A, all’uscita degli spogliatoi.

Somehow they are the answer of Wesc to the Beats of Dr Dre. Wesc now is a brand whose reputation in Italy is due both to headphones and clothing (if not more to headphones). As Beat it is linked to the legendary DJ-producer Dr. Dre, Wesc bounds its name to another giant: RZA and now launches its new jewelry, Chambers by RZA for release in early December. The impact is of total design, huge, massive, yet clean. We have 2 models: high-end price (170 euros) and very high (275 euros) which are called, in order, Street and Premium. The first comes in 4 colors, while the Premium model is only available in black and white. Some features in a sense are more advanced than the Beats. If the sound quality is the highest level, in line with the price, the novelty is the ability to share music you are listening with your friends who are wearing the same headphones. Brilliant idea. The premium model comes with LED lights that illuminate to the beat of the music (super-boor effect? We expect to see them live). All controls are ‘in touch’ with a slight pressure on the side. Certainly we expect to see them worn by the players in Serie A, while exiting from the locker room.

WESC non si lascia sfuggire nessuna opportunità in tutti i settori della moda e affronta con vero impegno e sempre più convinta il lancio sul mercato delle sue calzature. La collezione f-w 11 è caratterizzata da alcuni modelli premium. Alcuni tra i più riusciti, più che sneaker classiche, sono scarpe che riprendono le forme del boot, del desert boot , con alcuni dettagli che talvolta (vedi la Aleister) riprendono la hicking-shoe. E’ un orgoglio per noi, e motivo per complimentarci con WESC, la decisione di creare alcuni modelli in Italia, in stabilimenti dove la procedura è ancora ampiamente artigianale. Godetevi il video di presentazione perchè fugherà ogni dubbio su dove e come siano realizzate queste scarpe!

Si sa è tempo di saldi, e quindi si inizia già a pensare alla prossima stagione estiva. La WESC ha da poco presentato la sua nuova collezione s/s 2011. Il tema del video di presentazione si basa sull’organizzazione di una rivolta suburbana in cui un giornalista nerd cerca di apprendere maggiori informazioni possibili per far si che ciò non accada. Anche quest’anno il brand presenta la collezione basic con le classiche felpe e tees più la collezione principale s/s 2011. Una novità assoluta è anche l’introduzione del footwear da parte del brand svedese.

We know it’s sales time, and then we begins to think about next summer. WESC presented its new ss 2011 collection. The theme of the video presentation is based on organizing of a underground revolution in which a  nerd journalist is trying to learn as much information as possible to ensure that this does not happen. This year the brand offers as usual the basic collection with the classic sweatshirts and tees as the main collection ss 2011. A awesome news is the introduction of a footwear raneg by the Swedish brand.

Del gigante dello streetwear svedese WESC, vi portiamo a casa alcuni scatti speciali. Le nuove cuffie pro da dj, che dovrebbero arrivare nei negozi a breve, un’accoppiata di oggetti old school: bretelle e papillon consegnate in apposita scatola, e una cuffia limited edition con dettagli in alluminio e cuore sul lato.

From Swedish  streetwear giant WESC, we bring home some special shots. The new pro dj headphones, which should arrive in stores shortly, a couple of old school items: suspenders and bow ties delivered in a special box and a limited edition headphones with aluminum details and heart on the side.

Grande notizia, per una grande collaborazione. I nomi sono altisonanti, ma il risultato è risucitissimo e lo vedete anche da voi: Super (o Retrosuperfuture) realizza un modello speciale assieme a WESC. Un solo modello, declinato in 4 varianti di colore. Giustissimi!

Great new for a great collaboration. The names are big, but is the final result wich is bigger and you can see it if you are not blind: Super (Retrosuperfuture) teamed up with WESC for a special release. Un single model, offer in 4 different colors. Sooo good.

Vedendo queste headphones Bershka la domanda è lecita. Cosa ne penseranno i creativi di Wesc in proposito? Perchè, è evidente, le somiglianze di queste cuffie con le ben più famose Oboe di Wesc  sono a dir poco imbarazzanti.

Giudicate voi. Io il mio parere me lo sono fatta all’istante…

Si chiamano Maraca e sono tra le ultimissime uscite in fatto di cuffie della svedese  WESC. (We are the Superlative Conspiracy).

Decisamente un passo avanti. Il design è davvero bellissimo: stile retro, ispirato agli anni 50. La forma è leggermente quadrata, con angoli stondati. La cuffia ha una bella presenza senza risultare esageratamente gigante. Tra le mani da un’ idea di un prodotto solido, le finiture sono curatissime, e chi le ha provate all’ascolto mi ha assicurato che il sound è straordinario.

Sono arrivate su Superfly Deluxe.  A 95 euro. Disponibili anche in versione, raffinatissima, all white.
