Common Projects per la prossima stagione ha presentato una nuova collezione coerente con la filosofia minimal del brand. Alcuni modelli sono realizzati con nuovi materiali ma seguendo linee già viste in passato, altri invece sono delle interessanti new entry che si inseriscono prepotentemente nel panorama delle sneakers di lusso.

Common Projects has presented a new collection for next season, consistent with the minimal philosophy of the brand. Some models are manufactured using new materials but following lines already seen in the past, others are interesting new entry that insert itself in the luxury sneakers panorama.

Anche lo storico marchio inglese Gola si fa prendere la gola (scusate il triste gioco di parole) dallo stile old-school. Le sneakers dal sapore vintage con accoppiata canvas-suede sembrano avere tutte le caratteristiche per piacere al pubblico.

Even the classic british brand Gola goes ‘old school’ style. The snakers shown at Bread & Butter, have a very nice vintage taste with a mix of canvas and suede on the upper. Nice color palette. It seems the audience could love them.

La prossima collezione di Adidas Originals signori è una bomba. Non si sa da dove partire ma la prima cosa che ci ha subito colpito è una serie di hi-top i suede, con contrasti di colore molto belle, denominate Basket Profi che strizza l’occhio alle forme che stanno funzionando ora (vedi Nike eVintage Blazer etc). Se il gusto è questo, la serie farà il botto. a fianco un altra serie più minimale con tomaia in suede tinta unita, le tre bande bianche e zip diagonale sulla caviglia. Azzeccatissima. Altri pezzi MUST la serie ibrida che strizza l’occhio al trekking… e poi ovviamente una bella seriata di vintage, passando dalla Gazelle Indoor, con suola trasparente)  arrivando alle Grand Prix con trattamento invecchiato.

Ladies & gentleman, the next  Adidas Originals collection is a bomb. We do not know where to start but the first thing that immediately struck us is a number of the hi-top suede with contrasting colors, very nice, called the Basket Profi which winks to the forms that are working fine now (see Nike Vintage Blazer etc.). If the taste is this, the series will do a bang. Alongside another series, cleaner with solid suede uppers, the three diagonal white stripes and zipper on the ankle. Good job. Other pieces MUST-series hybrid that winks to trekking … and then of course a beautiful vintage seriata, passing by Gazelle Indoor, with transparent soles), and arriving to a vintage treated Grand Prix.

La sopresa arriva da Kawasaki. Mega fenomeno in Italia, ha ancora molti appassionati. Kawasaki presenta una collezione esagerata, grazie alla stringatura in pelle e al lavaggio colorato stone-washed. Il prodotto assume un effetto invecchiato che da più appeal e personalità.

The surprise comes from Kawasaki. Mega phenomenon in Italy, still has many fans. Kawasaki has a collection exaggerated, thanks to the leather lacing and washing colored stone-washed. The product takes on a more aged effect that expresses appeal and personality.

Mi piacciono i brand dinamici. Bobby Burns, brand svedese di calzature, sicuramente lo è. Entrato in tanti store con le sue plimsolls e sneakers in canvas, Bobby oggi presenta (oltre alle classiche sneakers) una collezione ampia di stringate brogue basse e alte. Gli ex skater e quelli che vengono dal mondo streetwear diventeranno (diventeremo) tutti damerini? Parrebbe di sì. Suole in crepe, tomaie scamosciate, con colori classici e a volte super-accesi e con accostamenti forti, giusto per far capire che le regole si rompono, e lo street attinge dal classico ma re-interpreta, senza prendersi troppo sul serio.

I like dynamic branda. Bobby Burns , Swedish footwear brand, certainly is. Entered into many stores with its plimsolls and sneakers in canvas, Bobby now has (in addition to the classic sneakers) a vast collection of low and high lace up brogue. Former skater and those coming from the street world will become all dandies? It would seem so. Crepe soles, suede uppers with classic colors and sometimes super-bright and strong combinations, just to make it clear that the rules are broken, and street draws from the classic but re-interprets, without taking itself too seriously.

Non è la prima volta che vi parliamo di Ylati. E’ uno dei nostro obiettivi quello di segnalare i nuovi brand emergenti più interessanti del panorama. Ed Ylati è una delle sorprese delle ultime due stagioni. Ylati al Pitti, presenta una declinazione impressionante del suo modello di punta, il Sibilla: in versione bassa e mid, passando da varianti sobrie, arrivando a quelle pazze e iper-fashion in colori accesi e inserti in cavallino. Non mancano i modelli borchiati e quelli con profilatura in pelliccia. Secondo noi è giusta l’idea di puntare sul mono-prodotto piuttosto che offrire una molteplicità di modelli che fanno perdere di identità a un brand ai suoi primi passi. E’ tuttavia da segnalare, in quanto estremamente riuscito il polacchino a punta tonda (foto in basso).

It is not the first time that we talk about Ylati. And ‘one of our goals is to report the most exciting emerging new brands of the landscape. And Ylati is one of the surprises of the last two seasons. Ylati at Pitti, has an impressive variation of its flagship model, the Sibilla: low and mid versions, from simple variants, arriving at those crazy and hyper-fashion in bright colors and inserts in horse. There are also models studded and those with fur profiling. We think the idea is just to focus on single-product rather than offering a variety of models that are losing the identity of a brand in its infancy. It’s to be noted, however, as it’s highly successful, the round toe ankle-boot (pictured below).
