Sorpresa. Dopo avervi presentato le t-shirt e le felpe di Reception, il brand ha realizzato una collezione speciale di espadrillas. Espadrillas originali, tinte, lavate, stonewashate e… borchiate. Nessuno ci aveva ancora pensato. Ma se combiniamo uno dei fenomeni dell’estate con il fenomeno ‘borchia’ cosa succede? Un fenomeno al quadrato? Stiamo a vedere.

Surprise. After having presented the t-shirts and sweatshirts collection of Reception, the brand has created a special collection of espadrilles. Original espadrilles dyed, stonewashed .. and studded. No one had yet thought of. But if we combine a summer phenomenon with the phenomenon of ‘studs’ what happens? A phenomenon to the square? Ancora una volta Highsnobiety, ci mostra un’anteprima davvero interessante. Queste sneakers di Jil Sander riprendono il tema caldo del momento, le espadrillas importandole in una sneaker (Prada lo fece con una stringata), il risultato e originale ma allo stesso tempo estremamente gradevole.

Once again Highsnobiety shows us a preview really interesting. These sneakers from Jil Sander takes the hot theme of the moment, the espadrilla, put them into a sneaker (Prada already did it with a lace-up shoe). The result is something original but in the meantime, extremely agreeable.

E’ il momento della paglia. Castañer presenta queste desrt boot in canvas con l’intersuola in paglia (ricordate Prada ?). A 136 euro su Mr Porter.

A proposito di Castañer. Fabbrica Spagnola fondata da Louis Castañer nel 1927 che iniziò con la produzione di espadrillas. Negli anni 60 Yves Saint Laurent inserì un paio di Castañer nella sua collezione. Da allora, per le espadrillas e per Castañer arrivò una nuova aura chic e luxury per quella che era nata come una scarpa per contadini.

About Castañer. It’s a Spanish factory founded by Louis Castañer in 1927 that began with the production of espadrilles. In the 60′s Yves Saint Laurent gave it a couple of Castañer in his collection. Since then, the Castañer espadrilles took a new aura of chic and luxury for what started being a shoe for farmers.

Anche Adidas vuole dire la sua in fatto di espadrillas. Ma se avete sempre pensato a questa calzatura come a qualcosa da vecchi forse vi ricrederete di fronte alla scelta cromatica di Adidas.

Mancano pochi mesi all’estate e queste sono due interessanti proposte di 3.1 Phillip Lim. La prima è un’ espadrillas in pelle con suola di paglia e nappine, vivace, estroversa e solare. La seconda ricorda lo stesso tipo di calzatura grazie alla suola ma è aperta come un sandalo, con un look più orientale e vicino alle origini thailandesi del designer americano, che si conferma per la sua raffinata modernità, l’attenzione al dettaglio e l’uso sapiente dei tagli e dei materiali.

There are only a few months to summer and these are two interesting proposals of 3.1 Phillip Lim. First is a leather espadrillas with straw sole and tassels, lively, extroverted and solar. The second remembers the same kind of footwear with straw soles but is open like a sandal, with a look more oriental and near the thai origin of the american designer, who is confirmed for its refined modernity, attention to detail and expert use of cuts and materials.

Un incrocio tra uno scarpa brogue elegante e un’espadrillas. C’è chi odia e chi ama. Ma Prada deve fare questo. Osare e innovare. Così si fa.

Delle sneakers queste Bsided hanno solo il disegno stampato sulla parte superiore. Di fatto sono espadrillas. L’idea è fighissima, il risultato a voi giudicarlo.
