L’ho già detto: hanno il potenziale per diventare un fenomeno. Forse però dovrebbero trovare la forma vincente su cui puntare. Le Civic Duty sono delle incredibili scarpe in Tyvec: il materiale tipo-carta utilizzato per le buste delle spedizioni Fed Ex. Sembra carta ma è idrorepellente e molto resistente. Per questo han deciso di farci anche le scarpe. Il risultato è pazzesco: sono leggere è con un aspetto stropicciato veramente originale. Il continuativo estivo presente slip on (in stiel Vans), e il modello basso straingato e quello mid. Le novità sono i modelli con inserti in vernice e in tessuto a scacchi, per il prossimo inverno. I’ve already said, have the potential to become a phenomenon. Maybe it should find thewinning form on which to focus. The Civic Duty are incredible shoes made of Tyvec: the paper-like material used for Fed Ex shipping envelopes, it seems like paper but it’s very durable and water repellent. That’s why the also decided to make woth it shoes. The result is amazing: they are light and with a really original wrinkled look . The continutative collection includes a slip on for next spring-summer (in Vans style),and a low and mid laced shoe. The new models for next inter includes inserts of patent fabric and checked wool. Prices are around  69 € for the low and 79 € for high. Distributed in Italy by Artcrafts International.

Quando feci un articolo su queste scarpe successe un putiferio. Un sacco di richieste su cosa fossero e dove si trovassero. Ora, grazie a Pitti, lo sappiamo. Le peculiarità delle Civic Duty è il materiale di cui sono fatte il Tyvek, un tessuto brevettato da DUPont, già utilizzato per le buste delle spedizioni, ad esempio di fed Ex, E’ una specie di tessuto simil-cartaceo, ma idrorepellente e molto resistente.E’ un materiale totalmente ‘green’ e riciclabile. Ora ci han fatto le scarpe. Sono in tanti colori, alte e basse. E quell’aspetto stropicciato è irresistibile. Saranno distribuite da ArtCrafts International (distributori in Italia di bran quali le Crocs…), quindi ci aspettiamo che saranno proposte con una certa visibilità. Il prezzo poi, sarà interessante..attorno ai 70-80 euro, ma su questo attendiamo di darvi maggiori informazioni.

Io le trovo semplicemente fantastiche, queste Civic Duty. La forma è quella della classica chukka boot, ma quello che le rende speciali è il tessuto che ne ricopre la tomaia, che ha subito un trattamento di lavaggio che le rende molto belle per l’effetto cromatico washed e irregolare. Sono disponibili anche altre forme ma questa mi sembra la più azzeccata. Qualche dubbio sulla durata e resistenza della tomaia stessa. Speriamo trovare presto maggiori informazioni. Via.
