Ammetto che sono rimasto scioccato quando ho letto questa notizia.

”Dirigo questo giornale da 10 anni, mi sa che è arrivato il momento di dedicarmi ad altro. Ho sempre avuto la libertà di fare quello che volevo. E penso di aver svolto un ottimo lavoro. Quando, però , tutto è perfetto, forse arrivi a pensare che è arrivato il momento di dedicarti ad altro”.

Come darle torto? Se la storia della moda l’hanno fatta stilisti, sarti, fotografi e vogliamo aggiungerci la categoria degli stylist, beh penso che Carine Roitfeld sia uno dei primi nomi da fare, direttrice di Vogue Paris, ha contribuito ha renderla una delle riviste di moda più importanti al mondo (se non altro l’edizione di Vogue più bella, a mio avviso).

Cosa farà ora?Cosa succederà adesso? Chi sarà il successore a partire da Gennaio? Solo il tempo può dirlo, se devo fare un nome mi auguro sia quello di Emmanuelle Alt, attualmente Fashion Director nella stessa rivista.

Intanto io mi sono precipitato a comprare l’ultimo numero di Vogue Paris, sarò esagerato ma segna  la fine di un era.

I admit I was shocked when I read this news.

”I run this newspaper for 10 years, I know that now is the time to devote to something else. I’ve always had the freedom to do what I wanted. And I think I’ve done a great job. But when everything is perfect, maybe it’s time to devote yourself to something else.”

How can you blame her? If the history of fashion has benn made by designers, tailors, photographers and you want to add the category of the stylists, well I think Carine Roitfeld is one of the first names to be done, director of Vogue Paris, has helped this magazine to become one of the most important fashion magazines in the world (the most beautiful edition of Vogue, in my opinion).

What will she do now? What will happen now? Who will be the successor starting by January ? Only time can tell us but if I have to make a name I hope is Emmanuelle Alt, currently Fashion Director in the same journal.

Meanwhile, I rushed to buy the latest issue of Vogue Paris, I will be exaggerated but it marks the end of an era.
