Un’assoluta novità per il Bread&Butter è Cheap Monday. Il brand svedese ci accoglie in un’ambiente minimal in cui i bianchi e i grigi sono predominanti. La collezione è lineare, minimale e si focalizza sui materiali. Sperimentazione e minimalismo sono bilanciati. La silhouette è ampia ed accorciata, filati trasparenti sono usati nei jersey, nella maglieria e nei tessuti. Top, camicie, felpe e jeans hanno aree sbiadite e sono illuminati da stampe ad acquarello, esplosioni glitter e forme grafiche nette.

Il jeans? E’ ovviamente presente e in primo piano, ma l’impressione è che Cheap Monday cerchi di allontanarsi il più possibile dall’immagine “monoprodotto” con cui è diventata famosa nel mondo, cercando di spostare l’attenzione su altri, convincenti capi. Il mio preferito? Sicuramente il mini vestito in demin. Pollice su.

An absolute “new entry” for Bread & Butter is Cheap Monday. The Swedish brand welcomes us in a minimal stand in which whites and grays are predominant. The collection is linear, minimal and focuses on materials. Experimentation and minimalism are balanced. The silhouette is wider and shorter, transparent materials are used in the jersey, knitwear and fabrics. Tops, shirts, sweatshirts and jeans are faded and illuminated with watercolor prints, glitter explosions and graphic forms net.

And the jeans? Obviously it’s present and  protagonistin, but the impression is that Cheap Monday is trying to get away as possible from the image of “single product”  with which became famous in the world, trying to shift attention to other, convincing clothing. My favorite? Surely the denim mini dress. Thumbs-up!
