Boom Bap, qui a Berlino si è confermato uno dei brand streetwear più caldi del momento. Forse il marchio di t-shirt che in questo momento sta registrando il maggiore hype in assoluto. Un vero fenomeno. La formula è apparentemente semplice: t-shirt (e felpe) ultra-soffici con colli tagliati al laser con effetto sdrucito. Stampe irriverenti, anticonformiste, un po’ humor, un po’ kitch che non lasciano indifferenti… anche in Germania sono le boutique più di tendenza e di recente sono state richieste da Heidi Klum per il suo programma Next Top Model.

Barrio Santo è un brand di Barcellona, nato nel quartiere ‘pericoloso’ del Raval. In un ambiente difficile il brand nasce ricco di storie della strada e spunti forti. Ora, nel giro di un anno, grazie anche all’intervento di Robert Braaksma, olandese trapiantato a Barcellona ed esperto nell costruzione di brand e strategie di sviluppo (vedi Lavand etc), Barrio Santo dal ghetto è uscito alla luce per assumere la forma e tutti i crismi di un brand con la B maiuscola. Gli eccessi sono smussati, ma la creatività rimane esplosiva. La bellezza delle grafiche parla da sola, i cotoni sono portoghesi ed extra soffici. Il brand si evoluto, oltre alla t-shirt creando tutta una serie di capi costruiti, veramente interessanti e adatti per boutique di fascia alta. Altro particolare importante: qualità-prezzo eccellente.

Barrio Santo is a brand of Barcelona, born in the ‘dangerous’ district  of Raval. In a difficult environment, the brand was born full of stories of the road and strong cues. Now, within a year, thanks to the intervention of Robert Braaksma, Dutch transplant in Barcelona and an expert in brand building and development strategies (see Lavand etc.), Barrio Santo came out of the ghetto to light and take the form of a brand with a capital B. The excesses are chamfered, but the creativity is explosive. The beauty of the graphic speaks for itself, cottons are Portuguese and extra soft. The brand evolved, as well as t-shirts, creating a variety of manufactured items, really interesting and suitable for high-end boutiques. Another important detail: excellent value for money.

In USA si sono già accorti del fenomeno di origini italiane di nome Reception e il brand si trova in alcuni negozi top (come ATRIUM a New York). In Italia se ne stanno accorgendo. Non è facile emergere nell’ intricato e volubile mercato delle t-shirt, dove si stampano grafichine fatte in 10 minuti su basi preconfezionate made in china. Io vi riassumo perchè a mio parere Reception rappresenta uno dei migliori brand italiani specializzati in t-shirt.

1-E’ made in Italy  e la qualità si vede e si tocca. Il cotone è eccellente, le t-shirt hanno lavaggi a freddo e presentano un particolare effetto di non-uniformita del colore. Il fit è studiato: il collo è leggermente ampio e a U. Non troppo scollate ma leggermente aperte sul petto.

2-Le grafiche hanno un impressionante contenuto artistico tanto che potrebbero essere quadri e manifesti, ma mantengono una sintesi e un impatto immediato che è richiesto a una t-shirt di successo. Si vede che dietro c’è grosso lavoro e soprattuto talento.

Il team di Reception in realtà lavora anche su felpa, girocollo. Ma al momento li identifichiamo al loro top sulla t-shirt. Stiamo a vedere se riscuoteranno il successo che meritano.

Ecco, che secondo Andy Richardson è un ottima scusa per fare un sacco di cose che sarebbe, pur sempre, il caso di fare. Ma che ora non ci sono proprio scuse per rimandare.
