Particular noteworthy are the materials used, such as perforated, washed, soiled with animal prints or color tones leathers, that make the collection recognizable and heavily appealing. Quando nel 2007 incontrò un calzolaio facendo opere di carità nel paese, la famiglia Osborn gestiva uno dei più grandi orfanotrofi in Guatemala. Aaron e Carla Osborn erano alla ricerca di un modo per combinare i loro sforzi umanitari con un progetto fair trade di moda, e l’incontro con quel calzolaio ha condotto appunto ad Osborn Shoes, scarpe prodotte da un piccolo team di 30 abili artigiani tra le montagne vulcaniche fuori Città del Guatemala.

While the Osborns were managing one of the largest orphanages in Guatemala, they met a shoemaker, doing charitable work in their country. Aaron and Carla Osborn were looking for a way to combine their humanitarian efforts with a fair trade fashion project, so the chance encounter with that shoemaker has led just to Osborn Shoes, shoes produced by a little team of 30 skilled artisans among volcanic mountains outside Guatemala City.
