Tutte le amanti di Lanvin, che si sono sempre chieste perchè la citta di Milano non ospitasse una boutique tutta dedicata alla maison francese stanno per essere accontentate: sta per aprire i battenti in via della Spiga (ang. via Santo Spirito) un negozio che venderà esclusivamente le opere create dal genio di Alber Elbaz.

Ma la news non è finita, oltre alla collezione pret a porter femminile sarà presente all’interno della boutique anche un corner dedicato agli abiti da sposa.

All fans of Lanvin, who have always wondered why the city of Milan doesn’t host a boutique devoted entirely to the French fashion house, are going to be satisfied: it’s ready to open its doors in via della Spiga (crossroad Via Santo Spirito) a store that will sell only dresses created by the genius of Alber Elbaz.

But the news is not over, in addition to the ready to wear collection, it will be present in the boutique also a corner devoted to wedding dresses.

Ebbene si, John Galliano uno degli stilisti piu emblematici di questi anni è stato sospeso a tempo indeterminato dal suo incarico come direttore creativo della maison Christian Dior.

Il tutto è dovuto a una lite sfociata in insulti antisemiti che ha coinvolto il designer britannico il weekend scorso in un bar parigino; ad aggravare le cose un video comparso oggi, in cui lo stilista dichiara di amare Hitler.

Non sono tardate a venire le dichiarazioni del CEO del brand, Sidney Toledano, il quale comunicando la sospensione di Galliano, spiega: ”il marchio Dior si dichiara lontano da qualsiasi forma di razzismo”.

Cosa succederà ora? Io son sicuro che non rivedremo più Galliano in Avenue Montaigne per un po’.

EDIT: Guarda un po’, Galliano è stato oggi 1/3/2011 sollevato a titolo definitivo dal suo incarico per la Maison Dior.

Yes, John Galliano, one of the most iconic designers of recent years has beensuspended indefinitely from his position as creative director of fashion house Christian Dior.

It is all down to a fight which resulted in anti-Semitic insults involving the British designer last weekend in a bar in Paris, to aggravate things a video appeared today,in which the designer claims to love Hitler.

What will happen now? I am sure you will not see Galliano in Avenue Montaigne for many years.

EDIT: Today, 1/3/2011 Galliano has been fired from the french house of Dior.

È il marchio Ohne Titel la new entry della prossima stagione, che si aggiunge alla lista dei fashion designers dell’edizione scorsa. Tra questi Preen, Louise Gray, Meadham Kirchoff e Manish Arora.

I cinque creativi presenteranno le loro collezioni durante la settimana della moda di New York, Londra e Parigi, le stesse saranno in vendita in tutti i monomarca Pollini a partire da Agosto 2011 e permetteranno a ogni stilista di estendere ancor di più il loro marchio, considerando che nessuno di loro ha, al momento, una propria linea calzature.

Pollini will continue this  Autumn Winter 2011 with their highly acclaimed project “Pollini Forward Designers”.

This upcoming season, new arrival Ohne Titel joins the select group of RTW designers handpicked by Pollini, which for Spring Summer 11 included Preen, Louise Gray, Meadham Kirchoff and Manish Arora.

The five ready-to-wear designers will show on the runways of New York, London, and Paris fashion weeks, and the shoes will be available at retail from August 2011.

Poco tempo fa vi ho parlato di Umit Benan, una delle poche sfilate della settimana della moda milanese che mi sono piaciute, beh ora mi voglio soffermare su Albino Deuxieme, collezione (la prima invernale) che trae le sue origini dall’impulso creativo di Albino D’Amato, stilista che non risulterà nuovo ai più, avendo vinto il concorso Who’s On Next istituito da Vogue Italia.

Quello che mi è piaciuto di più di questa collezione è senza dubbio la forte parte di maglieria in mohair reinterpretata secondo i colori del Baltico, unita ai  i tagli minimal ed essenziali per un risultato comodo ma allo stesso tempo elegante.

Aspettiamo l’inverno per vedere dove potremo trovare questa collezione!

Not long ago I talked about Umit Benan, one of the few shows of Milan fashion week that I liked, well now I want to dwell on Albino Deuxieme, another collection, which traces its origins to the creative impulse  of Albino D’Amato, designer who will not be new to most people, having won the competition Who’s On Next upfrom Vogue Italia.

What I liked most about this collection is undoubtedly the strong hand knitted mohair reinterpreted according to the colors of the Baltic Sea, coupled with minimal and essential cuts for a comfortable result but at the same time elegant.

Una delle sfilate più attese della fashion week di Parigi era quella di Mugler, che vedeva all’esordio il nostro compatriota Nicola Formichetti come direttore creativo affiancato al designer Romain Kremer.

Collaboratori d’eccezione per questo vernissage, Lady Gaga come direttore musicale e Mariano Vivanco realizzatore di uno short video che vede come protagonista Rick Genest,  aka Zombie Boy, il morto vivente che mai ti piacerebbe incontrare in strada di notte. Uno spettacolo future-gothic che fonde un melange di sensazioni grazie alla atmosfera che è stata creata attraverso la scenografia.

Uno show talmente affascinante che fa passare in secondo piano il vero oggetto della sfilata, ossia i vestiti.

One of the most anticipated fashion shows of Paris fashion week was Mugler, who saw the debut of  our compatriot Nicola Formichetti as creative director with the designer Romain Kremer.

Contributors to this exceptional vernissage, Lady Gaga as musical director and  Mariano Vivanco as director of a short video starring Rick Genest, aka Zombie Boy, the living dead that you’d never want to meet on the street at night. A performance thatcombines a future-gothic melange of feelings through the atmosphere that was created through the scene.

Il resto della collezione riprende i classici best sellers delle scorse stagioni rinnovati nei tessuti, in alcune linee (come per quanto riguarda le giacche da donna, completamente rifittate) ed è arricchita da una serie di edizioni speciali con inserti di pelle e l’applicazione di borchie. Una linea ancora più completa, che convince e ci piace sempre da morire.
