Se vi dico Alpha Delta Phi a cosa pensate? Ovviamente al mondo dei college americani tanto immaginato (e invidiato?) da noi europei. Luoghi di cultura ma non solo, in cui tutti, almeno una volta, hanno sognato di capitare. E cosa, meglio delle confraternite rappresenta quel mondo nell’immaginario collettivo? Giovinezza, spensieratezza, fratellanza… Viene voglia di prendere l’aereo e partire!

If I tell you Alpha Delta Phi, what do you think? Obviously you think about the world of the American colleges often imagined (and envied?) by Europeans. Not only a place of culture, in which all of us dreamed of being at least once in our life. And what better than the brotherhood rapresent that world in the collective imaginary? Youth, carefree, fraternity… I want to take a plane and go!

And meanwhile you can do a little trip in advance with the guys of Alpha Delta Phi.

Comode felpe con cappuccio, tees che sembrano rubate nelle palestre di ginnastica, polo per i meeting in confraternita e pantaloni in felpa per una birra con gli amici. Tutto è used, vissuto, stravolto e “vero”. L’energia della collezione sta proprio nel trattamento dei materiali: melange ingialliti dal tempo, spruzzature macchiate e a rovescio, rotture graffianti. Il fit rimane italiano, ma tutto il resto è in pieno, pure stile campus americano.

Ci hanno provato (e tuttora ci provano) in tanti a rendere questo stile college, con risultati spesso noiosi che sanno di “già visto”. I ragazzi di Alpha Delta Phi sono riusciti con assoluta originalità a rendere perfettamente l’essenza di un mondo (chi è passato dal loro stand al Pitti lo può confermare). Sono coerenti, testardi, e ci piacciono. Vi terremo aggiornati!

MAC ENGLISH. Comfortable hoodies, tees that seem stolen from the gyms, polos for meetings with the “brother”, sweatshirt and pants for a beer with friends. Everything is used, experienced, distorted but “true”. The energy of the collection lies in the materials processing: grey melange yellowed by time, sprayed and stained in reverse, fast scratches. The fit is Italian, but everything else is full of American-campus style.

Many tried (and still tries) to make this “college style”, but the result is often boring and “already seen”. The guys of Alpha Delta Phi are able to make the essence of this world with originality (who has been at their stand at the Pitti can confirm this). They are consistent, stubborn, and we like them.
